How does FlySee know where I was?
Going forward, it uses your iPhone’s location in the background to record each Entry. For the past, it can read the dates and coordinates stored in your photos. You can add or correct any day in the Log manually.
Do my photos or location leave my phone?
No. Photos are read on the device and only their dates and coordinates are used. Your Log is stored on your iPhone and synced through your own iCloud account. We do not run servers that store your data.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no sign-up. Your data belongs to your Apple ID and iCloud.
Which rules can I track?
Schengen 90/180 and other visa-free stays, 183-day tax residency by calendar year or rolling 12 months, minimum-presence requirements such as “at least 60 days a year”, and UK-style presence-day counting. You can also create your own Rule with a custom limit and window.
How are travel days counted?
Conservatively. Any partial day in a country counts as a full day, and a day when you cross a border counts for both countries. This matches how most visa and tax rules treat presence.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Counting, warnings and the Log all work offline. Syncing between your devices happens through iCloud when you are online.
Can I export my history?
Yes. You can export your Log for any year to share with an accountant, a lawyer or an immigration office.
